The Cyclone Surge Protector V2 is a high-performance, inline Ethernet surge protection device (SPD) engineered to safeguard outdoor network equipment against lightning strikes, power surges, and electrostatic discharge. Purpose-built for harsh outdoor environments, it features an IP65-rated waterproof enclosure that withstands extreme temperatures, humidity, and direct exposure to the elements.
Supporting data rates up to 10 Gbps across all standard Ethernet speeds (10/100/1000/10GBASE-T), the CYG-SPDO-10GB-V2 delivers transparent, pass-through protection with minimal signal attenuation and ultra-low capacitance (1.0 pF). Full compatibility with PoE, PoE+, and PoE++ (IEEE 802.3af/at/bt) ensures uninterrupted power delivery to connected devices up to 90W.
With a nominal discharge current of 2.5 kA (8/20µs) and a total discharge capacity of 5 kA, the unit provides robust protection against both direct and induced lightning surges. The simple RJ45 pass-through design allows for quick installation at the point of entry, making it ideal for protecting outdoor wireless radios, access points, IP cameras, and any Ethernet-connected equipment.
